Talbots RSVP Occasion Review:
Talbots has released their RSVP Occasion Collection and I am in LOVE with it! Talbots is a go-to store for classic pieces with added touches of trends each season. Read my previous about Talbots items here: belt & fit review. I love that a favorite store of mine has released an entire collection to prepare for holiday parties!
The RSVP Occasion Collection is the perfect curated line that offers pieces for everyone’s styles, body shapes and casual to black-tie events! I picked out this crepe sheath dress to style for upcoming holiday parties but of course I couldn’t resist putting together versatile outfits that will transition easily from work wear to date night in addition to holiday season! I was concerned it wouldn’t fit because the smallest size was a 2P but of course I was surprised to find the fit was great and made it more versatile to style with belts!
I also love Talbots for their amazing shoe lines and was finally able to pick up a pair for myself – these Bow Heels are gorgeous, come in 3 colors and 3 widths! I took my usual 5.5 medium size and they fit very well and are comfortable to walk in!

How to Style a Sheath Dress:
Style #1: Classic black belt
Sheath dresses are so versatile because of their classic design! A sheath dress is a go-to if you fluctuate in size (or for my pregnant friends!) because it is a looser fit. I love accentuating the waist with a sheath dress and first turned to a classic black belt (similar here). I finished off the look with Talbots‘s new Bow Heels also from their RSVP Collection! It added the perfect amount of color to this classic black outfit!
Style #2: Party-ready gold belt & pops of color
To get ready for holiday party season, it was important to bring out color and holiday-hues. I love a gold accent color and pulled out my Tory Burch reversible belt to accent my waist this time. I added in the Talbots Bow Heels and a classic red handbag to finish off the look.
Style 3: Statement necklace & perfect for the office to date night
With a classic black dress, it can be fun to add in statement necklaces! I love this pearl statement necklace and think it helps transition this dress to a work-appropriate outfit. Here is a similar one that just arrived (with matching tassel earrings!) Classic black heels are a wardrobe essential. Finally, to take this sheath dress to date night, I swapped out a handbag for my wallet clutch.
Bonus: This sheath dress is machine washable! You know I dislike dry clean only clothing so this was a pleasant surprise in a lined dress!
