3 Ways to Wear Denim Jackets

I love using a denim jacket as a casual layering piece or “completer piece.” For this outfit, I am wearing a go-to lace dress and this denim jacket helps to transition a summer dress into fall (read more tips on this topic in this blog post). Of course, we know that a denim jacket is a neutral color so it basically coordinates with anything so I’ve worn it with this navy lace dress and the matching red lace dress I own (see it in this blog post).

White jeans are a go-to all-year round and to transition them from summer to fall, this denim jacket is an excellent option. I like how soft colors such as lilac, coral or yellow go so well with white denim and blue denim. Living in Southern California, sandals can be worn all-year round so these gray block-heeled sandals are a great neutral to finish off the outfit.

For those who are still loving shorts weather, the denim jacket keeps this outfit more casual. The put-together shorts and floral top could be dressed up with heels for a night out instead.
