5 Outfit Ideas for Casual to Formal Holiday Celebrations
Less than a week to Christmas and the holiday celebrations are in full-swing! In case you also plan last minute, here are a few outfit ideas for casual to formal holiday celebrations! These outfits will also easily transition to style in fall/winter seasons for work and weekend wear.

Let’s start with a fun mint green skirt styled 3 ways and then finish with casual colored jeans/corduroy pants! Most of these items are old and I’ve linked newer in-stock items in this post.
Skirt Style #1: Heels
This outfit is a simple way to style an ivory sweater. I first picked out a neutral sweater that had a little detailing on the sleeves (tie-cuff or this season’s trend with bow detailing) and added in a bright and fun mint green skirt. I’ve had this skirt for ~4 years and love the color of it. For accessories, I added a green statement necklace and finished off the outfit with elongating heels. This outfit will easily transition to work wear after the holiday season.

Skirt Style #2: Boots
I took my first outfit and wanted to transition it for more winter wear. I paired it with classic black boots in a knee-high style. I’ve talked previously about my favorites – these Aquatalia ones that are waterproof and excellent for winter, snowy conditions (despite the fact that I live in LA I still prefer versatile boots that will travel to cold climates!).

Skirt Style #3: Sophisticated Add-ons
For those looking for outfits for formal holiday occasions, I put together this look for you! I added in opaque tights in navy, bow heels in navy and a classic belt to accent the waist. Honestly, this is my favorite look of the three and I can easily see myself wearing this to work in January!

Colored Jeans
My fourth outfit combines this neutral sweater with one of my favorites: colored jeans! I own a pair of teal green jeans but opted to borrow a more classic green color jean from my twin sister for this outfit. They are the perfect Christmas green color and pair well with neutral ankle booties!

Comfortable Corduroy
My final is a comfortable and casual look for the holiday season. Corduroy is so soft and a great fall/winter texture to wear. This pair is borrowed from my sister as well (she’s ~3 inches shorter than me so sorry the hem is a little short in these photos) and styled with another pair of favorite ankle booties.
