I am going to be talking a lot about different personalization and customization options with Erin Condren Life Planner & Accessories. I then list what I decided on. Everyone has their own style so I hope these details help you decide what works best for YOUR life and YOUR goals.

Why a Paper Planner over an Electronic Planner?

• It’s like a yearly journal – I don’t journal so this allows me to reflect on what happened over the last month or last year
• I like to write things down!
• I can cross things off my To-Do List! – yes, you can do this on an electronic source but for me, it is SO MUCH more satisfying to cross an item off with pen and paper!
• I don’t have to remember a login or remember to add something to the “Cloud” network to keep all my calendars/to-do lists/notes in one place
• It’s pretty and puts on a smile on my face when I use it each day!

Options: Life Planner, Monthly Planner, Teacher Planner, Academic Planner, Wedding Planner

• Erin Condren has expanded their planner collection to include a wide variety of planners to fit your needs
• I’m specifically talking and reviewing the Life Planner today, but you also have options if you want a more simple Monthly Planner, are a teacher and want to plan out your lessons in the Teacher Planner, are a student and need to stay organized with the Academic Planner or are newly engaged and want to track your wedding planning in a keepsake planner you have the Wedding Planner
• I really like the Wedding Planner idea since it would be a keepsake afterwards to see all the work, time and organization that you put into your special day!
• The Teacher Planner would make a great gift for your favorite K-12 teacher!
• The Academic Planner would make a great gift for your high school or college student!

Covers & Coils

• Basically everything is customizable with Erin Condren
• Cover Size: 7″ x 9″ (if you want a larger one, the Deluxe Monthly Planner is also available in 8.5″ x 11″
• Cover: Personalized or Non-Personalized covers
• Cover Options: Three Hard-Bound, Leather-Like or Permanent Cover
• Erin Condren now offers 4 types of coils: Platinum, Rose Gold, Gold or Black
• Mine:
  • Personalized Cover, Three Hard Bound Interchangeable Cover, Rose Gold Coil
  • First, I fell in LOVE with the Rose Gold coil and definitely knew I would gladly pay extra for this feature
  • The Personalized Cover was a must for me. I wanted Inspirational Quotes and my name printed on the Life Planner
  • The Interchangeable feature of the cover was an added bonus; if I want a different inspirational quote or pattern I can always change out what I have!
  • I decided on a DIFFERENT inspirational quote for each of my large items: Life Planner, Notebook, Carry-All Clutch – this really helps keep me inspired throughout the day!

Calendar & Layout

• Three layouts: Vertical, Horizontal or Hourly
• Available with 12 or 18-Month Calendars
• Mine:
  • Vertical Layout and 12-Month Calendar
  • After much debate over what layout to get I decided on the vertical layout.
  • I opted not to go with the horizontal layout because I’ve owned planners that were this layout before & it get boring after awhile.
  • I also didn’t want the hourly layout because it could get restricting with my changing schedule.
  • So I went with the vertical layout which is quite a change to me but I think the unique format is helping me.
  • I’ve been experimenting with using 1 box for Work items, 1 box for Blogging items and 1 box for Other/Fitness

Color Scheme

• Two color themes: Neutral and Colorful
• Mine:
  • Colorful scheme
  • I decided on a teal and pink theme for all my planner and accessories to coordinate together (just like my website color scheme!)
  • Exact color names I used were
    • Life Planner: Primary color TEAL; Secondary color BLUSH PINK
    • Notebook: Same as Life Planner
    • Custom Carry-All Clutch: Pattern color LIGHT PINK; Backgruond color PEACOCK

What comes with every 2017 Erin Condren Life Planner? / Included Extras

• Plan for It Pouch – clear pouch to carry your stickers, markers, accessories and more. It also has an option to clip for you to use a large coil with an adhesive backing so you can attach the pouch inside your Life Planner – this gives you more options to move it around in the planner (it was previously coiled inside the planner and could not be moved or re-positioned)
• Mini Sticker Book – several sheets of stickers are included in the Life Planner for you to use. Most are blank but some have some pre-printed categories on them to help you stay organized! I love the “Birthday” stickers and the different color schemes I can assign to each category I use them for!
• Built-in Folder – this is at the back of the Life Planner and is convenient for storing loose papers
• Perpetual Calendar – this is the built-in folder and can be used to jot down notes, birthdays, anniversaries or other information on the go – this is really useful if you want to open it at the beginning of each month to glance at important dates to remember!

What can I add-on to my Erin Condren Life Planner? / Erin Condren Accessories

• Wet Erase Makers – these are fun color to help brighten up your day! I picked up a set of 4 and love how they do not smudge on the other side of the page!
• Mini Snap-in Bookmarks – easy to save the pages you visit most in your Life Planner
• Snap-in To-Do List – I love To-Do lists so this was a perfect option for me to add in more organization to my Life Planner
• Snap-in StylizedSticky Notes – these are SO pretty! I love the pastel colors and the little designs on the stickers. Plus, it was really easy to snap in the sticker book to the front of my Life Planner (see photos)
• Snap-in Travel Dashboard – with upcoming travel plans in 2017 I thought this snap-in was perfect to help me stay organized. I always feel I’m forgetting things when I pack so I’ll use this to check-off items as I place them in my suitcase!
• Magnetic Page Marker – these are so convenient, I love the colored designed and picked up one for myself
• Elastic Band Trio – these are perfect to hold your Life Planner and Notebooks together – I love the different color options and decided on the Pink/Green/Brown set for myself
• Pen Holder – available to keep your pen handy in the Life Planner

• Custom Quote Carry-All Clutch – I decided on the Large size. It is perfect to fit: Life Planner, Notebook, iPad, Plan It Pouch and still has space for a few more accessories!

Customer Service

• Responds to emails quickly
• There were a few delays in receiving my products with an overload of Holiday orders in December – luckily Customer Service updated me with the order status and made sure I received the products I ordered
• I also had a couple concerns with the smell of my Carry-All Clutch & they were able to help answer them
• Note – I did end up machine washing my Carry-All Clutch in a delicate laundry bag and allowing it to air-dry (I had already tried soapy water, dryer sheets and freezing the clutch to reduce the smell in it)

Why Erin Condren Planners & Accessories are Worth the Price / Overall Thoughts on Erin Condren

• Yes, I do believe Erin Condren Planners & Accessories are worth the price
• Like I say throughout my website, quality over quantity
• This planner may be an investment for you but it will last all-year
• A $55 planner breaks down to $4.58 per month if used for 12-months
• A $85 planner with extra add-in accessories breaks down to $7.08 per month if used for 12-months
• Overall, the price is 1 Starbucks coffee per month – I would gladly forgo 1 of my White Chocolate Mochas to use my Erin Condren Planner!
• Would you?

• Overall, I highly recommend Erin Condren. Before putting this review post together, I used all products for ~6 weeks. As always, I would never recommend a product I do not truly believe in myself. In addition, my sister purchased the Life Planner and we gifted customized Notebooks to my nieces & nephew during the 2016 Holiday Season. They were so cute and inspirational!
