Get Ready for Winter with Bloomingdale’s Winter Accessories

I cannot believe it’s the middle of November already! Time is flying by and the temperatures are cooling down. I’m preparing for travel to cold-weather climates this month and next and am excited to partner with Bloomingdale’s to showcase their winter accessories to help me plan my Winter Travel Outfits!
What type of weather am I preparing for?! COLD and snowy temperatures! I’ll be visiting my hometown in Wisconsin along with stopping in Chicago for a medical conference & tourist fun!

How do I Get Ready for Winter?!
I’m looking for functional and versatile winter accessories. That means I’m looking for accessories that actually keep me warm, are tech-friendly, stylish and will combine with many different colors.
Where do I shop for Cold-Weather Accessories?
As you know, I love Bloomingdale’s and it has become a go-to company for my cold-weather accessories. You’ve heard me talk about Bloomingdale’s amazing Customer Service and my previous purchases in these posts: Wool Coat; Shoes; Dresses.
When I lived in Wisconsin, I was not as familiar with Bloomingdale’s. Since living on the West Coast, it’s become my favorite place to shop for investment pieces, petite-friendly dresses and winter apparel! If you don’t have a Bloomingdale’s in your area – don’t worry – they have amazing shipping services and are always happy to answer questions (you talk to a real person when you call them!)
What Pieces am I Traveling with this Winter?!
I own a few winter accessories from past years but wanted to update a few items for my upcoming winter travel plans (Midwest and Utah…best place to ski!). I picked out a new blanket scarf, tech-friendly mittens and a beret. Let’s talk about these pieces in more detail.
Bloomingdale’s offers amazing exclusive brands and I’ve always been a big fan of the Aqua brand (previous posts with Aqua here, here or here). It was no surprise when I turned to the Aqua brand to find my new winter accessories…this colorblock blanket scarf was my first find. It features gorgeous fall and winter hues and is the perfect size – not overwhelming on my petite-frame.
My second find from the Aqua brand was this chunky braided beret. I’ve never worn a beret before but thought it would be fun to try out (especially while traveling to the trendy Windy City, Chicago). The beret is a more polished version of a winter hat or winter beanie and was surprised to find how much I liked it when I put it on! This one also comes in a classic black color.
To finish off my new winter accessories, I was searching for tech-friendly gloves or mittens. I came across ones from both the Aqua brand and C by Bloomingdale’s brand. I opted for the C by Bloomingdale’s cashmere mittens because of their added color options – a gorgeous burgundy for me! These mittens are so versatile with a button to hold back the upper mitten so you are able to use your phone easily and then cuff over the upper mitten when you’re out and about in the cold weather!
