Best Leather Jacket Alternative | Black Twill Moto Jacket Review
You’ve heard me talk about layering jackets and a leather jacket before. For those looking for a great leather jacket alternative, this black twill moto jacket is my favorite! It’s been difficult finding a classic black leather jacket that fits well and I like finding other textures to wear besides leather or faux leather. Let’s talk about this twill moto jacket today + watch video on fit below!

Ok, let’s first start off with this – I do NOT own a black leather jacket or faux leather jacket. I did write about this navy leather jacket previously but a classic black jacket is a wardrobe essential and I was amazed when I found this one from Ann Taylor!
Why do I think this Black Twill Jacket is the perfect leather jacket alternative?
- It’s a classic black color
- The twill fabric is thick and perfect for layering
- It’s machine washable! How many leather or faux leather jackets do you find that are machine washable?!
- It has the signature notched lapel with added snaps
- It’s long sleeves with metal zip cuffs
- It has 2 zip pockets
The fit of the Black Twill Jacket is amazing for petite-frames like myself. I’m wearing my usual 00P size and the sleeves fit perfectly without alterations (a rarity in many quality jackets!). It also has a longer hemline so it is not a cropped moto jacket. The jacket also comes in a baby pink (soft buff beige) color that looks amazing. I thought the black was more slimming, classic and I wouldn’t have to worry about getting it dirty! Yes, I worry about that too!
I styled this moto jacket with a lace top, white denim and bow heels. I’ve already worn it to work several times – it’s the perfect layer for chilly Los Angeles mornings!
