I’ve been eyeing the Salvatore Ferragamo heels for a LONG time. I passed during the SHOPBOP sale or missed out during other 25% off sales with sizes selling out quickly. FINALLY, sizes are stocked well AND the sale price comes down from $595 to <$350! More than 40% off even including tax! That is a great deal!
For sizing, this was a little tricky and luckily a couple local stores had them in stock to try on. Sizing even differed between styles which was really surprising. Remember, I normally wear size 5.5 in shoes – see all my other high heels in this post & size 6 in Tieks ballet flats.
- Salvatore Ferragamo Carla Bow Kitten Heel Pump – Size 5.5 wide – I tried on the 5.5 B, 6 B and 5.5 C (wide) and finally settled on the 5.5 wide. The 5.5 B was too tight and likely would give me blisters after a few hours. The 5.5 wide gives my toes more room and I can use my usual high heel inserts to help reduce odor/sweat marks & cushion my insole.
- Salvatore Ferragamo Pimpa Platform High Heel Pump – Size 5.5 wide – I haven’t received this item yet but I hope it fits well & feels like 3.5 inches because of the platform styling
- Salvatore Ferragamo Ena Gancini Low Heel Pumps – Size 5 B (regular) – I tried on the 5 B, 5.5 B and 6 B and was surprised to find that the 5.5 and 6 were too big! They practically fell off my foot! I finally settled on the 5. The Ferragamo Ena in Pacific Blue is a gorgeous color & the closest I’ve found to a teal green! Tieks doesn’t make a color like this so I picked it up and am deciding on if I’ll keep this pair too!
Burberry is one of those classic brands that you have on your “To-Buy” List & wait for the right moment to make the investment. With this sale, I took the plunge and invested in a couple pieces. I’m waiting to decide on what I’ll keep – my sister & mom may be gifted an item too – but here are my picks & size recommendations! - Burberry Whitworth Belted Jacket – Size 0 or Size 2 – Honestly, this jacket did not look like much in the online stock photos. I’m glad I saw it in stores – it looks SO MUCH better in person – both the classic black and the moss green are great staples. The Burberry Whitworth in Moss Green is a rich green color – a perfect military style color. I love the nylon feeling to the upper portion of the jacket – it would do well in the rain and the large pockets are great for holding your phone or hands to keep warm! I love the belted detailing – it really helps on petite-frames and will come in handy.
- For sizing, at first my store only had a Size 2 and I thought it fit well…I even had on a work blazer underneath without any problems. I did have to roll the sleeves once which was fine since the nice Burberry fabric design shows then. I found a Size 0 at another local store and it does fit a little better, but doesn’t have as much room for work blazers or thick sweaters underneath. I’m torn with what size to keep – my sister already called dibs on the Size 2 if I don’t want it!
- Burberry Reymoore Hooded Cotton Trench Coat – Size 2 – This is the smallest size available so no comparison to Size 0. I was intrigued by this trench coat because of the versatile design – removable hood and removable warm layer! Despite it’s cotton design, the convenience of only having to pack one coat that functions as 3 is amazing! The warm layer is quite substantial too and I think it would do well down to temperatures of 30-40 degrees depending on the layering underneath.
- For sizing, the Size 2 fits well. The arms are just slightly long. But may require minimal or no alternations depending on your preference. I like the classic camel color but am torn between the black color option as well.
- Burberry Haddingfield Quilted Jacket – Size XS – Bloomingdale’s sold out of this item online but Neiman Marcus still has it in stock. It comes in blue, black or green so watch as sizes come back! I haven’t tried this on yet but am hoping the XS is a viable option for readers my size! The belt detailing should help accent a petite waist and it is a classic design – perfect for fall/spring temperatures & maybe winter depending on layering!

Classic Leather Jackets – can you believe I don’t own a leather jacket?! Well, I’m looking to change that! I ordered a couple options but unfortunately don’t have sizing recommendations since they are being shipped instead. Here are my picks though – remember these are investment pieces but at great sale prices right now!
- This Mackage Henia Leather Jacket looks gorgeous in blush pink! And Size XS may be a petite-friendly fit! Also see it in black or cognac on sale here.
- This Rebecca Minkoff Wes Leather Jacket looks intriguing too! The eyelet design on the back may be better for warm weather (read reviews).

Ann Taylor
So many classic items to pick from! Many of my work pieces come from Ann Taylor because of their petite-friendly fits – but their shoes and accessories are also amazing! LOFT
Great petite-friendly fits. This petite pleated yellow skirt caught my eye for summer – such a different piece & amazing color! – and the Petite 00 fits without alterations!
Banana Republic
I recently styled Banana Republic’s Summer Collection in this post and highly recommend any of these items. My favorites have been the floral tops (sized up to Petite XS so they were longer than Petite XX-Small) and my classic Sloan pants in pink!

J. Crew
If you’re looking for a classic denim jacket (yes, I have a jacket obsession!), I don’t actually own a denim jacket either! This one is a classic & on sale too. I’m not sure on sizing for it – my sister owns a regular XX-Small because the petite one was a little too short. I also picked up these longer bermuda shorts for my mom – she wears a Size 0 (the 00 were options but ultimately too tight in her opinion). Great length for my mom and J. Crew always carries such variety in short lengths to fit everyone’s preferences! Also see my striped tee picks on this recent post (on sale too!)
I love their new petite collection! I actually also like shopping here with my boyfriend – the classic polos are his favorite! The jeans, tailored shirts and suit sets also fit very well – he is lean and likes a slim fit in these items. See his measurements & recommendations on this previous post.
