Krochet Kids Intl. Story
Have you heard of Krochet Kids Intl? Do you know their story? Kohl Crecelius learned how to crochet as a child. He taught his 2 friends, Travis and Stewart. The 3 founders were avid snowboarders who desired unique headwear – crocheted beanies and hats. Fast forward through college, the concept of Krochet Kids was born after volunteering in various developing nations.

You know I place a high value on quality and customer service. That is one of the reason I wanted to start my Giving Back Series. To highlight qualities that are so often overlooked in today’s business world.
When I first came across Krochet Kids – thanks to to Buzzfeed for featuring it as one of the 36 companies who actually give back (article HERE) – I was in awe. Literally in awe. Their story was amazing – I can’t do it justice – so I linked their full story above and their process/how it works below.
But it wasn’t just their story. It was their products and the high value they place on knowing who made each product. Hand signed on each product label. WOW.
Let’s take a moment to think about that. Open your closet. Now look at your clothing items. Do you know of ANY piece of clothing that doesn’t have the usual large-box retailer tag on it…that literally has the signature of the woman/man who worked diligently to hand make the item?
I did just that. What did I find? Nothing. Not one piece of clothing that I could say – I know who made it! That it wasn’t part of a mass production or factory production. I mean, maybe some of you own designer one-of-a-kind pieces, but that’s be real – that’s rare! And Krochet Kids is not one of those companies – it produces livable, practical and stylish products for any and all to wear daily!

Winter Accessories: Krochet Kids Review
Winter accessories are a wardrobe essential, right? Even if you don’t live in this climate year-round, I’m sure most of us travel or visit colder weather sometime. I frequently visit Salt Lake City/Park City. Follow my Instagram posts & stories to see my winter travels in February!
I picked out Krochet Kid’s Becks Hat / Beanie and their Dakota Scarf from their winter accessory line & LOVE all 3 items. Why do I love them?
- Style Options: Several style options! It can get almost overwhelming determining what style to purchase. To help, here was my thought process:
- Pom pom or no Pom pom? – I decided I wanted a pom pom hat / beanie
- Fold / Cuff or no Fold / Cuff? – I decided I wanted a hat / beanie that had a fold or cuff
- Solid color or Pattern? – I decided I wanted a pattern instead of solid color hat / beanie
- What color? – I decided on 2 hats that will perfectly match my new Burberry Daylesmoore Wool Coats! – I purchased the camel and black colors in Size 2 recently (on MAJOR sale at Bloomgindale’s) and the Becks hat in Black Snow and Pale Rose are perfect matches to these coat colors – Plus, they are neutral colors and will go well with any outfit!
- Color Options: There are SO many color options with these hats! I had SUCH a difficult time deciding on my top 2 or 3 hats. I wanted them ALL! This is great because you can either go with more neutral color options to match many outfits or pick up some of their brighter colors/patterns to make a bold statement with your outfit.
- Classic style: Krochet Kids offers these winter accessories year after year with updates in color/pattern options
- Scarf: The Dakota Scarf is amazing!
- It’s feel very lightweight but it very long so you can wrap it around your neck multiple times to bundle up or wear around once for less warmth
- It is actually described as a “summer scarf” in the description but I personally believe it makes an amazing winter scarf as well because of its long length
- I also can’t wait to wear it on a long car ride or plane ride with the chilly air conditioning!
- I love the red color – it really makes a statement!

Today, our society has become so disconnected from where our clothing comes from, let alone WHO made it. We want to change this, and we need YOUR help.Click To TweetVideo

Customer Service
- Customer service was excellent!
- The items shipped very fast & arrived on time via tracking information
- I do not have any experience with Exchanges/Returns as all 3 items fit and felt good on.
Quality/Care
- Quality is always a consideration of mine when deciding to invest in an item
- Remember, my motto is: Quality over Quantity
- The Becks hats I am wearing are 100% acrylic
- The Dakota scarf is also 100% acrylic
- Both hats and scarf are really soft to the touch and do not irritate my very sensitive skin! YAY! This is the most difficult aspect of winter accessories – most are itchy!
Thank you for reading about winter accessories with Krochet Kids Intl. Please let me know if you have any questions at all about these products.
