- Olive Green Coat
Trench Coat: Black
A trench coat is a classic wardrobe staple. A black color is a must have in everyone’s wardrobe because it will go with anything! I opted to invest in this classic trench coat with my splurge with classic Burberry! Of course I got it on sale from Bloomingdale’s though (also discussed on this blog post)! I love this particular trench coat because it has extra versatility with a removable hood and a removable quilted liner! This makes it easy to travel with to climates with variable temperatures and protects you even better on rainy days! Also read my Burberry wool coat review. I likethis one for under $100 and this one for a splurge.

Trench Coat: Burgundy
A classic trench coat in a fall-hue brings a smile to my face! And burgundy is my favorite fall color! I found this fall trench coat over 7 years ago at Banana Republic, had it tailored (arms shortened) and it’s continued to be a staple in my wardrobe! I recommend taking your favorite fall-hue and finding a favorite trench coat (after you have a classic color such as black or tan/beige!). More on my previous blog post here. I found this unique chambray-designed trench coat!

Trench Coat: Tan/Beige
The classic tan or beige colored trench coat is also a go-to for many fall outfits! Similar to the black color, tan goes with nearly every color in your wardrobe and will always be a classic trench coat color. This one is from J. Crew Factory at a very affordable price. It didn’t require any alterations and fits very well on petite-frames.

Fall Short Coat:
A fall short coat is great for layering and can be dressed up or down. I love this bright red color and recommend purchasing this fall coat in a different color than your other classics (i.e. black or tan). I came upon this cherry red one from Ann Taylor a couple years ago and it fits well and looks amazing over dresses for date night! I also love blush pink in this coat style!

Olive Green Coat:
Beside burgundy, olive green is a go-to fall hue. You may remember this particular coat from my previous blog post because I fell in LOVE with this coat last spring. There are so much olive green or military style jackets available now and they are great layering pieces. I like mine functional with extra pockets and a belt. This one is from Burberry (of course on sale again).
