Outfit Inspiration: 4 Easy Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas
I cannot believe Thanksgiving is nearly here! It’s one of my favorite holidays because it means spending quality time with family! This year will be extra special because I’ll be celebrating with my parents for the first time in several years (who finally live closer to me)! My mom is amazing at baking so I cannot wait to spend time cooking and baking with her for Thanksgiving.
Besides planning what we’ll be cooking, I thought it would be fun to talk about easy Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas! I know actual Thanksgiving day can become stressful with all the cooking/baking going on so why not plan ahead a couple outfit ideas so you can take the stress out of what to wear when you sit down to eat! These outfits range from casual to dressed-up Thanksgiving dinners. They are comfortable yet polished and many items are from my Capsule Wardrobe Basics post!

Dressed-Up: Wrap Dress
A wrap dress is a go-to in anyone’s wardrobe and it can be a great option for comfortable yet dressy holiday dinners. The biggest benefit: it will adjust in size as you eat your way through Thanksgiving day! For those who attend multiple Thanksgiving celebrations, this can be an essential component of choosing a Thanksgiving outfit. Plus, the fabric is comfortable and it can be styled with a layering cardigan. Finally, if you want to change out the outfit during the day as you transition to different holiday events, you can easily change shoes and add or remove opaque tights (favorites here)!

Dressed-Up: Sweater Flare Skirt
You know I love flare skirts and wear them in many of my work outfits. I think they are much more comfortable compared to pencil skirts and will work well for dressed-up Thanksgiving dinners. If you have one in a sweater material, this would be even better because the fabric will stretch more easily! You’ll want to be comfortable when you make it to dessert time!

Casual: Lace Top + Colored Denim
Colored denim is a fun way to change up traditional denim jeans. I love finding fall-inspired hues for colored denim and today I’m styling one of my favorite colors – teal green! I picked this pair up several years ago but there are many options available today and I especially like burgundy hues for colored fall denim looks. Finish off your Thanksgiving outfit with a lace top and ballet flats and you’re ready for a casual holiday celebration! If you’re a messy eater, consider changing the white top for a black or navy top!

Casual: Flowy Top + Jeans
To finish off our 4 easy Thanksgiving looks, I paired classic dark wash denim jeans with a flowy black top. This top is a loose fit and will be perfect for staying comfortable throughout the day. I love this particular one – discussed in more detail on this blog post (with discount code) – but if you don’t own a top like this – a classic tunic blouse would also work very well.

Finally, if none of these outfits are grabbing your attention – this tunic sweater is really cute for fall and winter. I tried it on in size XS and it was a loose fit. It would be great styled with leggings.
