Buying and wearing shoes you love during the workweek is an important step for any professional. It is particularly important for healthcare professions like myself who are looking for versatile options. I work in academia (professor) and hospital (critical care) settings and love my ballet flats. I put together this practical post of How to Wear Ballet Flats to Work with SHEEC SockShion: Viewpoint from a Healthcare Professional. I highlight a product that has gotten me through countless hours on my feet. Update: Video Added!

First of all, I have to mention that the one and only ballet flat I wear is: Tieks by Gavrieli. I own these in multiple colors…HERE is my full review of this beloved brand. Plus, new blog post on No-Show Sock Options.
How to Wear Ballet Flats to Work — 5 Characteristics
Sheec SockShion (20% off with PSSVIP20 with $15 minimum + free shipping)- Please note I have owned this product for a year and genuinely love it. This is NOT a sponsored post. This post may contain affiliate links; full disclosures HERE.
- Comfort: Extra cushioning is important if you’re standing 8+ hours a day. Sheec Sockshion provides a little extra cushion without squeezing your toes. (Note, Tieks only come in whole sizes and I wear a size 6, larger than my usual 5.5)
- Odor control: Many avid ballet flat wearers know what I’m talking about here. I absolutely do not like the sweat marks that are created under the ball of your foot when wearing ballet flats. This product helps reduce sweat and control odor in your ballet flat.
- Removable: Unlike many shoe cushions/liners/support products, no sticky tape is required with these. Simply wear over your big toe and little toe, remove and wash.
- Washable: The washable feature is my favorite characteristic of this product. I wash them in a Mesh Laundry Bag on Delicate Cycle (but in hot water to get the bacteria/stink out) and place in the dryer (still in the mesh laundry bag) although the product description states to air-dry.
- No-show/Hidden: One of my pet peeves with ballet flats is when liner socks are visible. I love that this product is fully covered by the ballet flat. Others will never know you are adding extra cushion and odor control to your beautiful ballet flats. Show off your shoes, not your shoe liners.
